IHS Fairplay - the source for critical maritime information and insight (formerly Lloyd’s Register – Fairplay), has chosen Seafarers UK to be their first ever charity partner for the 16th Fairplay Cup – the annual shipping industry regatta.

Supporters of Seafarers UK are being offered the chance to win a trip to Mexico. The competition is being run by ferry company Norfolkline to mark the departure of the fleet’s oldest ship the Saga Moon after 25 years of service.
New small grants scheme goes live
Seafarers UK has launched a new small grants scheme for charities wanting a grant of £5000 or less. The money can be used to fund for projects, schemes or activities that involve seafarers, ex-seafarers or their families.
Seafarers UK funds new Sea Cadets training ship
The Sea Cadets have a brand new training ship following a £160,000 grant from Seafarers UK. The new 24 metre long power vessel, which was launched in July, was paid for jointly by a range of funders with the bulk of the money coming from the Jack Petchey Foundation, Seafarers UK and the Thornton Foundation.
